May 15, 2014
Are you looking for summer activities to keep your kiddos engaged without taking up their entire summer vacation?! Olmsted Performing Arts is the one stop shop for flexibly scheduled summer programming! OPA offers a variety of themed dance, music, theatre, and gymnastics camps for children and youth of all ages. Facilitated by the top instructors from around the Cleveland area, OPA’s camps encourage creativity and foster learning, all in an engaging and fun environment. We are confident that each child in your house will find a camp that is their perfect summer outlet!

Gymnastics Camps (age 3-10) - Each three-hour, themed camp combines gymnastics, games, and arts & crafts.  Flexible scheduling options allow you to enroll for several days or one day at a time.  Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. or Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m.

Youth Sampler Camps (ages 6-12) - Expose your child to everything OPA has to offer.  Each day, the children will be immersed in activities such as dance, theatre, music, gymnastics, art, and outdoor play.  Camp will include a pizza party lunch on the final day.  There will be two identical sessions of Youth Camp; week 1 will be held during the week of July 28th while week 2 will take place during the week of August 4th.  Camps will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.

Summer Princess Dance Camps (ages 3-8) - Calling all princesses!  Each day, the dancers will take part in one hour of games, ballet, stretching, and choreography.  All attendees will receive one reserved ticket to OPA's holiday production of The Nutcracker!  Camps will be divided into three age groups and will be held during the week of August 4th.

Youth (ages 6-11) and Teen (ages 12 and up) Theatre Camps - The Youth camp will include excerpts from several Grimm Brothers fairy tales while the Teen camp will include several songs from the rock band era of the 80's!  Each day will involve multiple sessions: acting, singing, dancing, and developing each camper's overall musical theatre skills.  Each child's experience will also be enriched by theatre history and technical theatre sessions.  The Youth Camp will be held July 21-25 while the Teen Camp will run from June 16-27.  Each camp will culminate with a Friday, 7:00 p.m. showcase performance.

God's Masterpiece Camp (ages 5-10) - A week-long experience devoted to exploration of the arts and God's Word.  Children will be enriched through daily devotionals, dance, theatre, music, sports, and art.  The camp will be held July 14-18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily.
