Bring your preschoolers to take the ride of their lives! Day Out with Thomas: The Go Go Thomas Tour 2013 is a fun-filled event that provides children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends themed activities. The tour kicked off in March and is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers through November. For two back-to-back weekends, little engineers and their families are invited to take a 25 minute ride on their favorite engine, meet Sir Topham Hatt®, Controller of the Railway and enjoy a day of Thomas & Friends themed activities including arts & crafts, storytelling and more.

Saturday, May 18 - Annual Children's Fishing Derby
Kids can reel in the “big one” at the annual Cleveland Metroparks Children’s Fishing Derbies. Participants can also learn how to cast and test their skills at the casting challenge. Guidance will be available from experienced anglers to help those new to fishing.
Prizes will be awarded at the end of each session for catching the largest trout, largest other fish, and smallest fish, plus best cast from the casting challenge. Prizes will be awarded at noon and 4 p.m. sharp. You must be present to win.

Sunday, May 19 - Opening Day at Stearns Farm
The Cleveland Mounted Police Department and the Metroparks Mounted Ranger Department, complete with their horses, will make an appearance for opening day! There is a parade scheduled for the afternoon at 1:30pm and afterwards the officers will be in the front pasture so everyone can visit with them and the police horses!
The parade will begin at the Homestead and continue down Ridge Road to W. Ridgewood turn left and continue to Ames Road, turn left and continue to Day Drive, turn left and continue to Ridge Road and turn right back to the Homestead.
