Family Friendly Trip to Put-in-Bay

A family trip to Put-in-Bay was at the top of our Summer Bucket List so we were delighted when we had the opportunity to visit recently. We visited on a weekday and found that the island was very family-friendly and relaxing. It was the twins' fifth birthday and I can't think of a better place to spend it. We had an amazing time exploring the island! 

The kids were thrilled to experience their first Miller Ferry ride followed by their first time in a golf cart. We toured the island stopping throughout the day for fun activities including ice cream, playgrounds, and boat watching.




One of our favorite stops was Perry's Cave Family Fun Center where we played miniature golf, completed Fort aMAZE'n and toured the Butterfly House. The Butterfly House is packed with butterflies ranging in size from tiny to huge in a wide array of colors.



We hope to visit again soon! Miller Boat Line has a great schedule with ferries running every half hour thru September 9 (with convenient hours in the fall, too) and inexpensive fares. They also offer great coupons for local attractions, restaurants, lodging and transportation (including Island Bike & Cart Rental!). Do your kids love to color?
