Free Community Event Begins with a Pet-Friendly 5K to Benefit Westlake K9 unit
Crocker Park kicks off summer this Sunday, June 9 with an enormous, community block party where you can climb in and out of our local law enforcements' coolest vehicles that will be on display! In partnership with Hermes Sports & Events, the day will start at 9:30am with the Crocker Bark 5K presented by Elite K911 in support of the Westlake Police K9 Unit. Runners, walkers, and their dogs are all welcome! Following the race, beginning at 11am, the streets of Crocker Park will be closed to host their very own Block Party, in partnership with the Westlake Police, Fire and Service Departments. All are welcome to attend this FREE event which will include:
- Meet and Greet with Westlake Police Department law enforcement officers, SWAT, Bomb Unit, Westlake Fire Department and so much more!
- Touch-A-Truck event allowing access inside display vehicles
- Westlake Police Department K-9 Unit demonstrations 11:30a, 12:30p, 1:30p, 2:30p at Market Square lawn
- Live Music with a cast of characters of Near West Theater
- Chalk Zone for creating your own beautiful artwork sponsored by Ryan Homes
- Face Painting and Balloon Twister
- Mad Science shows at 12PM & 2PM; with an exploration table from 11-3 with fire and ice!
- Real Pop Fusion give aways, games, dance parties and more
- Realm of the Reptiles show at 1:30PM and meet and greets with their slithery friends.
- Cleveland Monsters & Cleveland Charge hockey and basketball games
- Meet & Greets with Chomps and Stomper
- Free Cotton Candy from ATA Karate
- Decorate your own cupcake with Sprinkle It Cupcakes
- Stop by the Elite K-911 booth to learn more about about training and behavior modification with your pooch
- Sylvan Learning Center of Westlake and Strongsville will have an obstacle course near the Splash Pad so your kids can test their skills!
- Vendors, Exhibitors Food Trucks and more throughout Crocker Park.
