To help Northeast Ohio families find support for youth struggling with mental health or developmental disability concerns, Connecting for Kids offers two resource fair options on the west side.
- Lorain County Resource Fair on Tuesday, March 14, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lorain County Community College, 1005 N. Abbe Rd in Elyria.
- Western Cuyahoga County Resource Fair on Saturday, March 25, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Don Umerley Civic Center, 21016 Hilliard Blvd. in Rocky River.
Each fair will feature more than 65 local providers including adapted camps, therapists and other programs.
Families who pre-register and attend either fair in-person will be entered to win a $100 VISA gift card. In addition, the first 100 families in the door at each fair will receive a free stuffed animal with a disability awareness pin courtesy of Wild Republic and the Rotary Club of Cleveland.
Families who are not comfortable attending in person can drive up to the tent in front of each location during fair hours to receive a grab & go bag in a safe, socially distanced way.
For a complete list of participants and to register for either fair or to reserve a grab & go bag, visit https://www.connectingforkids.org/resource-fairs or call/text: 440-570-5908.
At both fairs, Connecting for Kids will have a table staffed by Family Resource Specialists who can answer your questions, direct you to resources and help you get started. For more information, call/text: 440-570-5908 or info@connectingforkids.org.
