Rescue Village Summer Camps

Our Doors Are Closed But the Lifesaving Continues!

By Rescue Village April 7, 2021

The doors at Rescue Village have been closed to the public since mid-March 2020, but we are here for our community! With public safety as our top priority, adoptions, TNR and surrenders are all being handled by appointment. To help keep people and their pets together we have a Pet Food Pantry program for those in need. Call 440-338-4819 ext. 13 to arrange to pick up dog or cat food. Our humane education program has launched a series of virtual children’s camps and activities. Summer camps will be socially distanced with fewer children and a virtual option has been added. Register by visiting https://www.rescuevillage.org/what-we-do/programs-services/humane-education/summer-camps/.

Check out our brand new “Kids Corner” at https://www.rescuevillage.org/kids-corner/ for all sorts of new and fun activities, games, stories and more!

“The public has been unbelievably supportive during COVID” says Rebecca McNish, Director of Development. “Donations have been strong throughout the pandemic. In fact, we reached our fundraising goal and sent over 1,200 animals home in 2020! We want to give back to our community so we are continuing to develop a host of new programs to support the very community that has been so generous to the animals.”

Rescue Village still needs your donations of food, bedding, toys and treats for our resident animals. Items are accepted daily on the donation cart outside the shelter’s front door. Gift receipts can be obtained by calling 440-338-4819, ext. 45 or emailing developmentdata@rescuevillage.org.
