Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) is proud to present Camp LEAD: Fish Tank, a fun and dynamic summer experience focused on innovative youth leadership. This intensive, one-week summer day camp engages 5th-8th grade boys and girls at a pivotal point in their development.
Camp LEAD: Fish Tank, based on the hit TV series Shark Tank, will utilize games and outdoor team activities to encourage healthy competition and collaboration. Campers will be given daily challenges that will help them learn to pitch ideas and negotiate for success. This day camp encourages campers to focus on goal setting, creativity, networking, critical thinking, presentation skills, effective communication and the art of self-leadership.
ELA trained facilitators guide students through a journey of self-discovery, engaging them in divergent thinking as they construct meaning from the group experiences they encounter through each module. The interactive activities are followed by thought provoking group debriefs and analysis to encourage personal reflection and individual application.
Join us for a week of fun! Camp challenges will stretch personal limits, educate, empower and equip campers to take away the critical success skills needed to become a leader in today’s world.
A brand new Camp LEAD curriculum every year means your camper can have four years of leadership development before even hitting high school. Turn your camper’s potential into performance through a memorable summer experience that will give your student a competitive edge as they head back to school in the fall!
Camp LEAD sessions run Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at schools, community centers and corporate partner facilities throughout Northeast Ohio and the mid-Atlantic Region.
ELA’s Camp LEAD offers the perfect balance between authentic learning and gross-motor dynamic activities. Scholarships are available.

More About Effective Leadership Academy
Our mission is to help young people develop their most valuable asset – themselves. Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) was started in 2008 by Founder and Executive Director Flo Brett, who recognized the struggle of new corporate professionals who were expected to assume leadership positions, but lacked the necessary skills. In response, Brett developed and led an intensive adult leadership-training program with outstanding results. She then went on to identify a significant gap in student leadership training in middle and secondary schools.
Brett adapted her training program to serve the needs of students in grades 5-12, college students and educators to ensure they received essential life-skills education during their most formative years. Since its inception, ELA’s expert facilitators have provided 20,000+ students and professionals throughout Northeast Ohio and in the mid-Atlantic region with custom designed and award-winning programs that turn potential into performance.
